The provide free inhome developmental work with all children in the greater Norristown Area. They have weekly parenting classes at the PAL on Harding Blvd. in Norristown on Thursday Nights. Jeanine O'Rourke LCSW specializes in all kinds of group therapy sessions for women. Her "Mommy Chat" is a 4-week series of discussion & support groups led by a local psychotherapist and mom who specializes in women’s mental health. Now in its second year, these groups give women a chance to process the highs and lows of motherhood while keeping their sense of self, and their sense of humor, intact. Cost is $70 for the full 4-week series or $20 per session. Topics include but not limited to; “mommy guilt”, post-baby sexuality, collaborative parenting, setting limits, building a support network, coping with stress, finding balance, drawing boundaries & self-care.

Bryn Mawr Hospital -has a free breastfeeding support group every Thursday from 1:30-3pm and every other Saturday at the same time for working mothers only. The lactation
consultant is available and will assist you in weighing your baby.

La Leche League - This group has support groups, seminars and lots of moms willing to help if you need breastfeeding support.
Minority Breastfeeding - This group reaches out to minority families who would like to breastfeed. They have different services, events, groups and resources all around Philadelphia.
Nursing Mothers Alliance - 610.251.9405 - This free volunteer breastfeeding support group offers free telephone counseling as well monthly meetings. There website is also a wealth of information resources.
