Advanced reservations are required for all visits and are accepted by telephone, fax or e-mail Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 4:30. Admission is $10.00 per person. All tickets and parking are non-refundable. The Barnes Foundation has summer workshops and an arboretum, and an art collection of French Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and early Modern paintings.

Exhibiting American art in a 19th-century grist mill, the Brandywine River Museum is internationally known for its collection of works by three generations of Wyeths and its fine collection of American illustration, still life and landscape painting. A variety of programs for families are offered throughout the year. Events include the Free Sunday Mornings in March, June and September, and weekend and summer workshops.
