Community Service

When encouraging your kids to participate in volunteering and community service it helps them to realize that it is important not to just focus on themselves. It can teach them a sense of responsibility, the benefit of sacrifice, as well as learning that what they do makes a difference. We all want our kids to be kind, thoughtful, giving and good stewards of their belongings. Volunteering along side of your child as a regular activity will help instill these qualities and start a lifelong tradition for them. This site will help you find volunteer opportunities for your child and yourself, find organizations/products that give to charities, places for adults to volunteer, and ways for your children to help their environment. I'm looking to start a section on where and what you can recycle in your township/borough so if you have any information please send it to submit@norristownmom.com.
